I have been doing business with Star Lumber for years. My father did business with Star Lumber all of his life. We have always been treated honestly and fairly. Recently I have been calling in orders for delivery and they have the procedures streamlined to get me what I need when I need it. Try getting that kind of service at the orange, blue, or green stores!

We recently had carpets and hard surfaces installed. We much appreciated the professionalism and excellent work of Tim Riffel. He is an excellent communicator and was most helpful.

Customer service is good at this location. Products are professional, and there are sales representatives that can and will take care of contractors if needed.

I would have rated five stars if they didn't mess up my order and actually cut the 5ft x 5ft piece of plywood by 1 ft x 1 ft squares instead of cutting them into different sizes. Firstly, my friend helped ordered and was supposed to pick up a 5ft x 5 ft sheet of Baltic Birch plywood that was 1/8 of an inch thick and then cut them into 1 ft by 1 ft squares. When he picked them up, they were all the same size; however, the thickness was 1/4 of an inch instead. They did have good customer service when he addressed this issue to them by offering to take it back. He ended up choosing to pay twice instead. During the second attempt, they got the type of wood and the thickness right. However, some pieces were not cut into 1 ft by 1ft, some of them were off by half an inch. I am somewhat satisfied with the quality and durability of the wood received. For future reference, if something like this happened again, please offer a refund instead of offering to take it back.

Compared prices here and 2 of the big box stores. Star was significantly cheaper than the next lowest. Plus the service was great, both from the inside clerk and the outside loader. I've lived here 6 years and wish I would have tried them sooner.
