I go out of my way to see beautiful old Catholic churches, and this one is a stand out. Really. Short drive from Wichita and well worth it. My group was unable to attend Mass, but this parish has a super fun bingo a couple of times per year.

This is such an extraordinary church. As one of the first churches in the area, it is a historical gem. You can visit and look at the extraordinary art work and stained glass. The people and priest are very welcoming. I encourage a local pilgrimage to check it out. Also make sure to visit the cemetery. The priest burial place is very powerful and thought provoking.

Beautiful old church. I love going here to visit. My great grandfather and grandfather help transport the limestone from the old Wichita clock factory to the church site via horse and wagon.
