Art put on a roof for me almost two years ago with zero problems at all so far. Family business and they all were involved. Cleaned up mess 100% and Art has checked back. Not like others who take you money and run. My two neighbors have had roof work done since mine and all are very happy. Thanks Again Art.
They did a great job on my roof (twice) as they noticed the first batch of shingles were defective after they were applied. The did not have to bring that to my attention, as I would have never known. They turned in a claim with the manufacturer and the manufacturer honored their warranty and supplied non-defective shingles at no cost to me. Birds also worked very well with my insurance carrier. I would and have recommended them to others. They may be hard to get in touch with at times but you have to consider the fact that most people are trying to contact them during their busiest times after a storm. I work in the insurance industry and we deal with all sorts of contractors. I am confident if I have an issue with their work, they will address the issue.
I have called Bird Contracting for several jobs including roof repair and fencing in my yard. Art and his crew were very professional and did outstanding work. I would recommend them to anyone.
Initially his crew did great. A couple years later started to notice the shingles were not nailed down and blew off in storms. Called to have him come look and repair. He declined after waiting a week to call back and had his secretary call me. Have not been able to get ahold of him since. His work is very subpar in the long run. He was cheaper than others, but you get what you pay for. The original person I spoke with was Art out of Brookville Ks. Have attempted to call but there is no answer or voicemail.
Do not waste your time calling this company. I work for a large company with several hundred stores and deal with vendors all day long. This vendor is completely unprofessional and unreliable. I called them for one of my stores that has a leak in the roof and asked if they could go out there and give me an estimate of what it would be to fix this. They originally told me that they would be out that day or the next. It took them two days to go out to my location. They went out looked at the roof and called me. I then asked for them to email me the estimate with his recommendations over a week and a half ago. Art (from Bird Contracting) said he would have that emailed to me that night or by the next morning. I have called and left more than 3 messages because I never recieved any information from him. I finally today called two other vendors to get someone out to my location and left a comment on his website of how disatisfied I am. He finally called me today, 11 days after he promised to have the information to me and now wants to charge me for this quote that was originally free and started blaming me for the reason on why I haven't gotten my quote and how I have wasted his time! Unbelievably rude and unprofessional! He has wasted my time for the last week and half.
