The staff is the best. Helpful and very caring. This place could be called Cheer's because everyone knows your name.nThey performed surgery on our pug for a cancerous tumor on his hind leg. He is now back to himself. They are always very attentive to his leg during regular visits. There is a reason why they are busy!!!

I'm in the process of adopting my parents' small older dog. They originally took the dog to this vet to get her spayed, but it had been a few years since they brought her back.nnI'm living in Wichita, so I wanted to ensure that she was caught up on all her shots, looked over, free of any sneaky parasites, etc before going all out and checking out public areas like dog parks and pet supply stores just to ensure she didn't pick up our pass on anything to another pet. She had been out in a rural area without other dogs, so it hadn't been an issue where she was. Needless to say, she had some catching up to do.nnI called a couple vets here in Wichita to compare prices and services, including 3 common vaccines, a general exam, checking for heartworms and other parasites. Just a complete look-over.nnNinnescah was able to provide all that plus microchipping, a nail trim, dewormer (vs charging for a fecal test and then dewormer), and a 3 month supply of flea meds for a price that was comparable to that shorter list at the Wichita vets.nnWhile I was there for our first appointment, I realized that I had forgotten to ask about dental services. They were able to schedule me for the next Tuesday, and offered another blood test to check liver and kidney health that I didn't even know was available. I didn't even bother calling around for other places' prices. They were also able to set me up with a supply of chews to prevent heartworms.nnAll in all, I found out this dog is older than I thought - 12 years old- and has a heart murmur. They were able to give advice on choosing foods, dental treats, and encouraged looking into joint supplements, as they felt that her hips were a bit stiff. I didn't know exactly which brands I was going to pick, but they gave me the information I needed to confidently ask for and weigh my options at our local Petco (the one on north Rock has some awesome staff!) between our appointments. The vet techs were even patient and encouraging when I showed them what I picked up to make sure I picked out good fits.nnI feel confident moving forward with caring for this dog, and comfortable with caring them with questions. Looking forward to the next time we come in. My only regret is that they are so far from east Wichita where I currently live, so that could put me in a tight spot if I need an emergency vet. Otherwise, it's near my parents home and makes for a nice visit.
