Amazing views in every direction. We saw at least a dozen buzzards riding thermals over the dam and the surrounding hills. Very beautiful to watch.

This is a good place to see the scenery. From here you can observe the lake, lake outlet and river, the Flint Hills and parts of Riley and Pottawonomie county.nIf you’re looking for a local place to ponder the shape of the earth, this is a good place to begin.nAlso it’s a good place to practice long distance photography.
