Blue River Family Medicine

Its with a sad and a sincere heart that I have to write this review. I went in here optimistic to be understood and cared for .Yes I'm 21 and I have a lot of health problems half of them from my wreck. It was nice to see Dr. Shamburg the first time but after that it's only gone downhill. The bedside manners completely changed, he basically told me he's gonna refill my medicine and doesn't want to see me for a few months. My insurance doesn't cover physical therapy and till I get better insurance he doesn't care to see me because that's the only solution. He didn't feel trustworthy at all to me and felt like he was brushing me off. He didn't even mention or care to address my constant dizziness/lightheadedness. He said his goal was to keep me active for as long as possible but that didn't happen as I'm someone who struggles with daily pain to push through doing activities that I love. They brushed off my pain as simple muscular pain even though I have hardware and painful popping/clicking noises daily. Not what I have hoped for if you're young,with a lot of health issues be ready to be brushed off, I'm sad to say I have to find a primary elsewhere now.

I was one of Dr. Shamburg first patients when he moved here ,before I believe he partnered up and got moved to the new building. I have lots of health issues and he was great for those years I even highly recommend him and my mother,daughter and 4 middle age kids then also a few neighbors are now his patients . He was always focused on what my issues were and wanted to fix me , as he put it. So got me in specialist along with mrs. Terry( awsom lady) also got MRI approved 2 a year. Two neurosurgeons said surgery would not be worth the risk and could be paralyzed or be in chronic pain but that what I am already. So pain management was next after physical therapy 3 different times and medication. Recently I received a letter saying I would no longer be his patient because I failed to pay aone office visit and didn't call them. Well so much for really wanting to fix me. He gave me a prescription for a pain treatment packet 6 days but when he gave it to me was just before he terminated my care and I missed days at work and cant go back without a doctors note. I dont think I've every been so overwhelmed trying to figure out what to do! So as long as you pay and dont leave 73.00 bill unpaid you may be ok.

Our family decided to try out Blue River Family Medicine. Best decision we could have made!nDr Shamburg is incredible with our kids and they connect with him almost immediately. His passion for helping others is obvious. I’ve been amazed with his attention to detail and the time he spends visiting and connecting with us.nThe rest of the team there have all been super friendly and helpful.

This place really is amazing. The multiple receptionists and nurses I've interacted with were all very friendly and welcoming. The facility itself is top notch as well. I see Myra Wilson and she is extremely personable and compassionate. I would highly recommend!!

I grew up moving around a lot, in a military family, so I have seen my fair share of family practice physicians over the years...Hands down THIS has been the best medical office I have ever been to. I have been a handful of times this year and every time the staff is always super friendly and welcoming, the nurses are truly nurturing, and Myra Wilson my PA genuinely cares about me as a whole person, spends time listening to my concerns/feelings, and takes my opinions into consideration! Wouldnt go anywhere else.
