4 of us visited a friend SW of Medora last October and at his suggestion, visited Western Edge bookstore. I found a book by Linda Hasselstrom Gathering from the Grassland. Some years ago i read Land Circle of hers and was so glad to find this one. I started reading this 3 days ago...finished today. I enjoyed reading this journal and would recommend it to anyone interested in South Dakota history. The owners were wonderful! They gave us time to look through the store, told us interesting stories of the area. Do stop and visit the bookstore! It is well worth time spent there!
Owners Doug and Mary are very knowledgeable and have a nice collection of Western history and children's books. They opened after hours the night before we left so we could get a couple of books as gifts. Wonderful customer service!
Great selection of regional books for children! Impressive! Also have a diverse collection of regional history! Very nice staff!
Let me tell you this, if you love books (HINT, you should), you’ll love this place. The North Dakota flavor to the selection is distinct as a cool North Dakota fall breeze with autumn leaves drifting by.
