Great atmosphere in a fantastic town. The decor was amazing, like an old west hotel inside. My room had a custom whirlpool bath but the hot water was super slow and the whirlpool was really loud. Nice room, mini fridge, microwave, tv. I'd stay there again.
Quaint and cozy little oasis, and great home base for exploring the Flint Hills. Real nice folks
I love this place! This on-the-trail (literally) historic hotel/motel is beautifully kept & super cozy. I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
I stayed in this wonderful little hotel. I had one of the newly remodeled outside rooms. It was really quite and the rooms were clean. They give free tours, so at least stop to look into the wonderfully decorated rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful.
I stay at the Cottage House every time I visit my son at Kansas State University. It is clean, unique, affordable and the people that work their couldn't be more friendly or helpful. This place, as well as the town of Council Grove, is a diamond in the rough. There is also some great mom and pop places to eat in Council Grove. Special kudos to Holly. Holly manages the Cottage House. Kudos also to Melissa. Her customer service at the front desk is second to none.
