Stayed in the same room as the previous reviewer, with three kids, but had none of the same issues. Staff was friendly and allowed us a late check out. Laundry was affordable ($3.50 for both a wash and dry) and worked. The place was clean. Breakfast was basically pastries and sugar cereal but all around a good experience.

So far not off to a good visit. We've been checked in for 30 min and the front desk already called and complained about noise because he is the one right below us. He didnt even give us a chance to get in our room and get settled in. They knew it was 2 adults and 4 kids all 8 and under arriving late at night and yet put us on 2nd floor with creaky floors and a bathroom door that doesn't shut. Funny how he was friendly at the front desk til he got my money. Was supposed to stay 3 nights but I'm not sure that will be bearable given the smell of the place combined with the rudeness of the one person I have seen here. Was not expecting this bad of a motel given its hefty price. I certainly wasn't expecting all the drunk people walking down the street screaming, especially since my 3 year old cant even walk around in the room without the front desk calling.

Got stuck in a storm and had to spend the night in Mayville. Very friendly staff. The young man working at the desk was shoveling every time I stepped out side. You can tell these people work hard to keep the guests happy. The house keepers do an AMAZING job! I've never seen a cleaner hotel. I wish more places took care of guests like these people.

A little much Pricewise given the locale, however, the rooms are ultra clean, really really large, even come equipped with a wonderful plush ez boy style recliner. Totally professional and laid back staff... Just don't mess up the room like a bad person would and u r good.

Woke up in the morning to the sounds of two female cleaning crew talking very loudly and very profanely in the hallway. Super unprofessional and disturbing. F bombs back and forth. No employees were on site when we arrived at the motel to check in after a wedding we attended (in a very small town). I was told that when the room was reserved it was pet friendly so didn’t think anything different. After checking out and returning home I noticed an extremely large charge on my credit card- when I called the gentleman at the front desk explained that staff reported seeing two dogs in and out of the room-which was untrue, because well, I only own one. Very opportunistic and unprofessional-I suppose being in a small town they don’t get a lot of business and need to steal every penny they can. The room was $90 to start with, which is pretty steep for something straight out of the 70’s. Luckily, I will never have to go back and this review probably won’t matter as it’s a motel off the beaten path. Yuck. Communication could have been better on my end... and there’s.
