I’ve had nothing but exceptional service at Hyde. For starters, I’ve never had to wait on Shannon or her staff, ever. They are always on time and waiting for me at the desk. Things like this go such a long way, for me at least!nnThe quality of the service too, It’s the best I’ve had. I have a TON of hair, it’s course, frizzy and long. Usually a hairstylists nightmare. Not to mention I love having blonde hair and my hair loves to pull red (aka brass galore) but Shannon and her team somehow manage to get the most amazing results every single time. Shannon approaches her clients from a totally different perspective than any other stylist I’ve seen. She takes into account skin tone, natural hair color, face shape, lifestyle...everything. And from there, works her magic. My hair is always exactly what I want and it’s healthier than it ever has been because they will never do anything that will compromise the integrity of my hair.nnOh and the lighting there...it’s the best. You know how the lighting in salons usually makes you look ghostly? I don’t know what kind of voodoo lighting Hyde has, but it’s amazing and I was genuinely shocked the first time I visited with how flattering the lighting is. Not that that is a major determining factor when choosing a salon, but it sure does make staring at yourself in a mirror for a few hours much more enjoyable!

Shannon Atkinson has been my hair stylist since June 2004. She is amazing! So talented. I remember the first time she cut my hair, she sat and talked to me about my hair and lifestyle, and what I was wanting to do with my hair, before ever touching my hair. This meant a lot to me because it showed how much she cared about giving me a hair style that not only looked great, but worked for me in my profession as well (I need to be able to pull it back). She has always taken the time to answer questions about styling and recommend products without being pushy at all! Over the years, she has learned new methods of doing hair and therefore I always feel like I’m getting the best haircut and highlights, staying up with new trends. My most recent highlight is so pretty, and I’ve received a lot of compliments. She is very kind, is such an artist in her profession, and is fun to talk to. I always look forward to my appointments. I could not be more happy for her to open Hyde Salon. It is a beautiful and clean salon. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, and I have no doubt that you will love your experience here!

AMAZING!! I cannot say enough good about this salon and these people!!!! Shay cut and colored (partial highlight) my hair, and I absolutely love it. She took the time to do it right, she explained what products she used, how I can take care of my hair to make it last, and how to style. She genuinely cared about the outcome and was just as excited as I was for the result. I trust in her abilities implicitly.nnShay cut my hair just as I asked, and has been so consistent (this is my second time as her client). I had my hair cut by Shay, and I absolutely love the way it turned out! I was genuinely concerned about finding a good hair stylist after moving here from NYC and feeling like my hair would never look as good. I was definitely wrong. Shay asked a lot of questions to help me describe the ways my hair has been cut/styled in the past and shared her thoughts on how we might make it even better. I think she paid a lot of attention to the specifics of my hair which I really appreciated. She didn't cut off more than we agreed to it being cut, which has always been a big issue for me.nnShay was very easy to talk to, and we had a wonderful conversation throughout the whole process. I also enjoyed the line of products they use at the salon, but no one there tries to force you into buying anything which is a great bonus and makes me want to actually consider it if I find any issues with my current routine. The salon is super clean, beautifully and simply decorated, and I would highly recommend giving them a try!
