Great staff. Very clean store with easy access to items on shelves. A real boon to Cando and the area. I agree, why shop WalMart when Dollar General is within easy reach. Stay well, everybody.

I like having Dollar General in Cando because I can most of what Walmart has to offer for about the same price. Certainly not worth the gas and time of the trip to Walmart in Devils Lake. Figure it out people your time counts as money in this day and age. However, there are a couple of things I can’t get such as clear American water tonic water, and fresh start low tracking cat litter. I am a value shopper. They also offer smaller sizes of items that aren’t as good of value as the large size, but if you’re trying to stretch your dollar till pay day, sometimes that comes in handy. The space of the store is compact; however, some items aren’t where they should be. There is a better manager now and a couple of good customer service staff. In my opinion, which I think matters because I used to teach customer service, a couple of the staff members need a lot of help with their friendliness, tone of voice, appearance, and overall approach.
