During the most difficult time of your life, its important that the funeral home you choose is easy to do business with. Penwell Gabel is that and more. Mike was even keeled, calm, gracious, and accommodating. Everything was explained in detail and they are willing to give assistance after the funeral is over. I can't stress enough how much I appreciated their kindness and empathy. I highly recommend this funeral for when unfortunately you will need their services.

We recently lost our Mother and as for children my Mother only had my brother (Scott) and myself. To say the least neither of us were prepared for the passing of our Mother, even though she was 77, and we also never really talked seriously with our Mother about her wishes. All we really knew is that she wanted to have a traditional Catholic funeral and Mass. I keep saying that perhaps if there were a sister in the mix things would have been different because males are just not good with those conversations in my experience. Our families, especially our wives, were a tremendous help but Penwell-Gabel was also a true blessing. Things happen so quickly and there are so many decisions to be made, especially when you were not prepared, that I am not sure how we would have managed without Penwell-Gable! Michael in particular was wonderful and he walked us thru the process in a very kind and informative way and he was with us every step. He was simply an honest and caring individual during a very difficult time when you need that the most! I would highly recommend Penwell-Gable to anyone during these difficult times in life!

Prior to choosing Penwell Gabel’s Olathe location we spent a considerable amount of time researching our options based on other yelp reviews, quality of the facility & location. We feel so fortunate that we made the right choice.nnDuring our initial meeting with Michael B he masterfully guided us through the key parts of the process & did so with a very caring & easy to understand approach.nnMichael was also very accessible to help with any of our follow up questions & to offer suggestions in a very supportive & never a pushy or pressuring way.nnWe worked with Chris H on the day of the funeral since Michael was out for the day. Michael had given us a prior heads up, introduced us to Chris & had obviously spent time explaining some of the unique details for the service.nnWe interacted with several additional staff members during the time leading up to the service. All were very professional, caring & willing to do whatever was needed to insure that the service went smoothly.nnDue to COVID guidelines we decided to have the service in Penwell Gabel’s chapel. . The chapel could easily hold 40-60 people with social distancing being followed & there were also overflow areas available if needed. The furnishings were tasteful, decorated appropriately & spotlessly clean.nnWe can’t begin to thank the staff @ Penwell Gable for all that they have done & are continuing to do for our family in the time following the service.nnA special thank you to Michael & Chris for helping us to plan & then deliver on a service that was a fitting tribute for our loved one.nnThe staff @ Penwell Gable Olathe receives our highest recommendation.nnWith deepest respect & appreciation,nnThe Tony Martin Family
