The food was awesome the prices are reasonable. Even tho we arrived half an hour before they closed we were welcomed and the staff was very polite and kind. We didn't seem hurried or rushed - very friendly staff! If I could give more STARS for this restaurant I would! I highly recommend this place and I plan on dining here again.

They do not support the troops. No military discounts offered.
I have eaten at Ponak's for at least 20 years. They continue to have the best margaritas in Kansas City, great food, and wonderful service. They now even take reservations for parties of four or more.nnWe usually get a half pitcher of their famous margaritas, a large order of their fresh guacamole, and I typically order Dinner Special One, which is consistently fresh delicious.nnAlthough the service was top-notch, this visit made me sad. Gone was the crowded entryway and typical loud dining room. They have done their best to socially distance the tables, but these changes are only hurting one of the best restaurants in Kansas City history. I believe they are doing their part in the midst of this crisis, but it also means that we, those who enjoy this restaurant and have for years, need to do our part to support them so they remain open for many more years to come.
Food and service were both great. Busy but stayed on top of taking care of everyone
