My entire life(51 yrs) has been ears and sinus/allergies issues. I have had tubes 9 times as a child. I have had a ruptured ear drum repaired. I have had my sinus cavities under eyes cleaned out. Had my deviated septum repaired. All by a doctor (unnamed) I should of ran away from. There are procedures that have now caused issues later in life. Now you know why I should of ran away from the previous doctor. Then I found Doctor Dunfield. What a great ENT. Bed side manor is friendly and welcoming. Honest. Upfront. Listens to you about your pain and discomfort. Recently one of my past surgeries (by unnamed dr) came back to haunt me. I needed another surgery. Where I was referred to Dr McClurg. He is amazing. His pre and post op office visits were nothing but honest, informational, open and caring. I honestly have NEVER breathed this well in my entire life. And no more headaches. Which were getting to be very regular. Highly recommend. I promise you will be as satisfied as I am. Thank You to everyone at Adventist.
Dr. Stanley McClurg is a stellar doctor. His astute attention to detail, combined with a zeal for his specialty as a rhinologist is apparent right away. Yet, his empathy, which drives him to get to the root of the problem is what sets him apart from other specialists. I have never written a google review prior, yet after Dr. McClurg helped me, I opened a gmail account just to be able to applaud his level of care.nnFirst, I must say, I have never had trouble with any nasal or ENT issues prior to recent. Yet, after recently being evaluated for thyroid issues (by a separate doctor/separate practice) I was injured during a nasolaryngoscopy procedure. The pain was so intense, I returned to the original practice hoping to receive help. I was told by a very qualified doctor, “I see very bad things all day, this is not a bad thing.” After enduring intense increasing pain for a month I sought out a second opinion. This is how I found Dr. McClurg. After being evaluated by Dr. McClurg, within minutes he found the problem. It was simple and easy for him. He started treatment right away, and my pain started decreasing right away.nnHis desire to find the problem even if it isn’t a life threatening tumor, to me, means everything. Sometimes it is small things that cause great harm or pain, thereby changing your quality of life daily. The damage I am in the process of healing from, may indeed not be “very bad” in terms of life threatening. But it was life changing, and Dr. McClurg was perceptive enough and caring enough to look at the details to help me get on a path to healing.nnThe following may sound typical but I know from other experiences with doctors that it isn’t the norm any longer: Dr. McClurg actually reviews images himself that radiologists send reports for. This is part of how he helped find my problem. He is humble, he does not claim to be a radiologist as well, but it’s quite clear, if you’re his patient, it’s just something he’s going to do as an added review. This is rare. Many doctors just read reports and really never look at your imaging. He simply goes above & beyond. I truly believe it is because he loves his field of interest. It shows.nnHe is a gem of a Doctor. A rare relic that you can trust to help heal you.
After not being able to breathe through my nose and having life-changing issues for months, I was thankfully referred to Dr. McClurg. His office staff is extremely helpful and courteous, and Dr. McClurg is a knowledgeable, excellent doctor. I did not realize how much a simple surgery could change my reality, but it did. I cannot recommend Dr. McClurg enough.
I’ve suffered from recurring sinus infections my entire life. Dr. McClurg is the first doctor (and/or ENT) I’ve seen who was interested in finding a long-term solution to my sinus issues + allergies versus prescribing round after round of antibiotics, etc. We decided to go ahead with sinus surgery and boy, am I glad we did!nnAt every step I felt seen and heard and so well taken care of. He’s got a great sense of humor and really made me feel at ease. Dr. McClurg and his team went above and beyond to help me. My sinus surgery was postponed due to COVID-19 and he rescheduled my surgery which was to be held at St. Luke’s to their “in office” surgery center. He even helped me navigate my insurance company, (pre) approvals, billing, etc.nnThe surgery couldn’t have gone better and the aftercare has been incredible. I really can’t say enough good things. He and his team are so attentive and kind. I’m a month post-op and have never felt better. I’m so glad I went with Dr. McClurg and his team. They’re truly the best.
An actual LIFE SAVER!!nI suffered from 6 to 10 sinus infections a year for the last 30 years. That was my life, infection, antibiotics, be better for a few weeks and repeat. Over and over. Do you have any idea what that many antibiotics does to your gut health? It’s not pretty.nnEnter Dr. Stanley McClurg and infections are now part of my PAST! It’s like a whole new beginning! He found the two big problems that nobody else could. One in office procedure and one minor surgery and NO MORE infections! Pretty darn close to a miracle for me! He will forever be my sinus guy! Thank you so much Dr. McClurg. And your staff are the BEST! Autumn and Joey....thanks for making everything easy and pleasant!
