Prairie Pediatric Dentistry

Just got back from my son's dentist appointment and wanted to let everyone know that we had an awesome experience! Everyone was so friendly and professional. This was my son's first dental appointment and Bianca did a wonderful job with him and gave me some great suggestions. Dr. Emily was equally great with my son and was very informative. My son can't wait to go back!

We had a wonderful experience at Prairie Pediatric Dentistry! My child needed to be seen for an emergency dental appointment, and the receptionist/staff went out of their way to fit us in. The receptionist was so kind, understanding, and helpful, which I feel is rare to find these days. Also, the care we received was top-notch. We would highly recommend them!

This may be a long review so incase you don’t read it all let me start by saying, I highly recommend this office to anyone looking to get established with a Dr. and Staff that truly care! They not only took wonderful care of my son, but always considered how I felt as a parent and kept me informed. I am writing this review, because as a review reader myself it’s important to hear others experiences. I read one of the other reviews posted here about Dr. Emily and I was debating even going here. I was referred to this office from another dentist office that said they did not have the capability to treat my son. I went ahead and went for an initial consultation to get a feel for the Dr. and Staff although the negative review I read was a the top of my mind all throughout the appointment. I was anticipating a rude Dr. and an uncaring staff, but to my surprise it was the complete opposite. I was treated with such care as was my son. Dr. Emily took the time to go over all of the issues and treatment options with me and my husband. She answered all of our questions and together we came up with a plan that we all felt comfortable with. We decided that, because our son is not exactly cooperative when it comes to treatment, we would need to put him to sleep for the procedure. We schedule the next appointment for 2 weeks out and we got ready for what was a very scary time for us as parents. The thought of putting your child under anesthesia is very hard, but again the Dr. and staff did all they could to comfort us and keep us informed. After the procedure finished, Dr. came to meet with us again, went over all the details, and even personally called us to check on him a couple of hours after we got him home. We are more than happy with this office! It’s the little things they do to show they care and the big things they do right that matter. Highly recommend!!

After a negative experience at another pediatric dentist office in KC, we were so lucky to find Dr. Cortes and her team. From the start, every single person on her staff was kind, patient and super friendly. Our daughter needed caps for cavities and as can be imagined, we were very scared about the necessary procedure, anesthesia, etc. Dr. Cortes made us feel so comfortable and spent a lot of time explaining our options and making our daughter feel important. I highly highly recommend this practice and consider our children Dr. Emily’s patients for life :)

We have been going to this office for approx 2 years and have had nothing but the best experience at each visit. I have four children and all of them love this office and the staff here. Tonya at the front desk is amazing, she is kind and caring as well as professional! Lindsay is great with kids, super fun and personable. Dr Cortes is outstanding with children, very sweet and great at what she does. I don’t know how anyone could have a bad experience with anyone in this office!! It honestly feels more like a family reunion than a dental appt. They are that great! Hands down, the only place I would ever dream of taking my kiddos.
