Scott the manager is absolutely amazing! We ordered an extensive takeout order and a few things went awry. We called the restaurant and Scott was incredibly quick to make things right. Scott and Jax went above and beyond to ensure that we will be coming back to this restaurant for life. The food at Jax is top notch seafood in Kansas city (literally the best, you cannot get better seafood anywhere else in the Midwest). Their customer service is extraordinary every single time. Scott wanted to make sure that we knew that Jax was an excellent restaurant that stood behind their high quality food and service. After the mistake, he said “we are better than that” and then made it right. We are amazed and very impressed! I will recommend Jax to all of my friends and family and will be a repeat customer for life! My family LOVED their Alaskan king crab, hush puppies (YUM!), Cioppino, and cheddar grits.

We truly enjoyed our experience here! We love seafood and our favorite go to is oysters. We loved the seafood sampler... it was a very fair price and a ton of food. The calamari was good as well as the lobster Mac n cheese. The best part about our experience was our waitress, Dianne. She was attentive, very knowledgeable about the menu, and a fun presence! I swear every time she walked away from our table I said “wow she’s great!”. Oh, and the ice cream (her recommendation) was amazing. Maybe the best I have had. Overall a great dinner.

I had dinner tonight to celebrate my daughters birthday. We had great food and great service. We enjoyed the oysters, the mussels, the lobster Mac and cheese and the fried calamari. They even brought us a surprise rise birthday dessert! Thank you Jax for a great night!

Fantastic meal last evening and even better service. Got curbside pickup and all the food was great. But what's unbelievably awesome is that, when we found out an item was missing from our order, the manager brought it over to us a few blocks away! Thumbs up y'all, great experience.

Made a reservation for 2 on a Saturday at 4:45. We were seated right away. Happy Hour, which consits of select half price drinks and appetizers, lasts until 5:30. We chose several items: peel and eat shrimp, grilled oysters, gumbo fries, and calamari. Everything was amazing. The sauce with the calamari was fantastic. The winter sangria was delicious as well. We chose to split the lobster mac and cheese entree. Tons of lobster meat and the cheese sauce was so good. The service was great too! We can't wait to go back!
