This stay was so fun! We loved it but there was some mold showing around all the vents in the ceiling. The bathrooms were really nice!
We held our wedding earlier this year at Oak Street. After touring, the innkeeper was extremely difficult to contact about getting a contract and payment set up. My emails were ignored and calls left unreturned. When I did manage to get her on the phone, she would say she was sending the contract immediately and then would never send it. This went on for two months until we were able to finally get our contract ironed out. When we arrived, some of the trash cans were full and the coffee pot was extremely moldy. When we were picking up the next morning, the innkeeper stopped responding to my messages about locating more cleaning supplies. It’s a gorgeous venue and worked well for a small wedding; however, the customer service by the innkeeper leaves much to be desired.
My family rented this entire home while visiting on vacation. It was amazing! So beautiful and historic. Soon many bathrooms! Everything was refinished keeping the old charm. You could feel Kansas City history in the room.
Stunning property! We are definitely going to book it several times in the next 6 months.
