Nice clean , quiet motel are very good prices
It was a very nice room with comfortable beds. Only trouble was lighting. We couldn't get the main switch inside the door to move at all so we couldn't get the light on and we arrived at night so it was pretty dark entering the room but once we found the other switches and lamps it was good.
On Nov 12th, 2020 I stayed in the Sleep Inn in Hays. The hotel was clean, modern and they had high regard for Covid safety. The room was perfect. The guy at the desk was extremely helpful and efficient. After I left the next day I counted myself lucky to have stayed there because I didn't find another hotel which seem anywhere safe. I travel across the country a couple of times a year. I will definitely put this hotel in my route.
Upon entering room it had a strong smell of what I thought was men’s cologne, I guess it’s something they clean with. Then I noticed the crooked pictures on the wall and tried to fix them but I couldn’t the hangers/nails were messed up. A light in the bathroom was burnt out and the safety lock on the door was broken off. I feel these are simple fixes that make a huge difference. We had also got the room because it was reasonably priced. My brother and his wife had also booked a room there and had planned to let our kids play in the pool which they were very much looking forward to. However we later learned the pool was closed for maintenance. No mention of this on the website. Front desk girl said there was nothing she could do except call her manager and he would call us the next morning. My brothers family left and went to another hotel. I am a single mother and can not afford to do that, so I stayed. The weekend breakfast was over by 9 so I can’t comment on that. Oh and shocker...I, nor my brother ever got the promised phone call from the manager. It was ok for one night, but definitely overpriced for what we got.
Staff was pleasant & rooms clean . no microwave.. Breakfast for the amount of money needs a big makeover.. With Hotel quality and pricing breakfast should have been way better then cold cereal nd muffins..
