The room was clean and in excellent condition. There is some construction in Hays between the interstate and the motel. There is a nice place to eat within walking distance of the Comfort Inn. It is Thirsty's Brew Pub and Grill. I had a great steak and brews were on special for $2 a pint. The young man at the front desk was very accommodating and answered all of my questions.
Room was clean and it had a min fridge and coffee maker but that us where it ends. The beds are advertised as queen beds but they were full size instead. The beds themselves were very uncomfortable and in need of new mattresses.
Softest fluffiest beds EVER!! Both Quentin (checked us in) and Jesse (checked us out) we're sweet, polite and gave 5 star customer service. The hotel is older and shows signs of wear, but the cleaning person must have immense pride in their job as it was probably the cleanest room I've ever stayed in. If you have to stop in Kansas, make it Hays and stay at the Quality Inn!! We drive cross country often and this is our new half way stop.
Everything was OK until my daughter pulled a lot a trash from under the bed it was very nasty, it was a used lady kotex pads and empty bottles of water. The room was clean but seems that the housekeeper is not cleaning under the beds, so be careful if you have curious children. This time was that but next time it can be a drug needles.
Clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced! Breakfast items were available as well
