My wife and I were patients at the Hess Clinic for 7 years in Hays, Kansas. The care was at a B-plus level, but we had some problems. First, there was a tremendous turnover of medical personnel, which made it difficult to maintain a high standard of care. Second, they were somewhat sloppy in handling information provided by other doctors. For example, they were at first unaware that my wife had had gall bladder surgery at a doctor's office to which they had referred her. Then, they did no follow-up on a skin test on myself that came back positive for skin cancer!nNow that we have moved to North Carolina, they are trying to charge us $28 per patient to digitally transfer our medical records, just because a Kansas state law now ALLOWS them to do so. And this is when the North Carolina doctors' offices have requested them, not the patients by themselves. I mean, how greedy do you really have to be? And whatever happened to professional courtesy?
