Dr. Dunlap has been my preferred care doctor since he came to First Med around 2005. I'm not one to go to the doctor unless I am sick or have an emergency. I'm not on a regular prescription drug, or anything like that, but he's always given sound advice, medications when needed, and he's got an easy going bed-side manner. I had one other doctor in this town once when my insurance didn't cover First Med, and it was a nightmare. I was so glad when my insurance changed, and I could go back to First Med. Everyone has a different personality, some people may not like a particular doctor, but that doesn't mean they're a bad doctor.

Upon completing my new PT forms, I was told just to leave them on the counter. While there were multiple people in the waiting and check in area. There was ZERO regard for protecting my personal or private medical information.nPerhaps it was casual Friday, but the front office staff were all wearing T-shirts.nI will not trust my medical care to this practice.nTrain your staff!!!! Be professional!

Dr. Dunlap is hands down the best doctor I've ever had. I've been his patient for over six years and it's worth the hour drive to be able to see such a high quality physician. He is flexible, knowledgeable, and kind. I would definitely recommend Dr Dunlap!

I just moved to Kansas, am a retired RN and was looking for a finely qualified and experienced Primary Doctor. I was told Dr. Dunlap would exceed my expectations by the completion of my new patient visit yesterday. It was a busy day at Medcheck but the office staff and doctor were as attentive as if I were the only patient. All medical history and care needs were discussed and met. I was more than impressed and, I was thoroughly surprised with his ability to provide complete closure to all my care needs within his time allotted. Superb Doctor and staff.

Dr. Dunlap is a hidden gem in Lawrence. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. You can tell he cares due of his attention to detail and the fact that he's always smiling. The wait time is very fast and the office staff are friendly. Dr. Dunlap welcomes input during visits and allows patient directed care. If you are looking for a great doctor in town like I was, look no where else. Dr. Dunlap is the real deal.
