This is a lot. A lot where you can park cars. The lot is not entirely level, so you'll need to be careful if you're parking a car that doesn't have a lot of ground clearance. There is not a lot of shade, so your vehicle will get pretty hot in the summer. They just repainted the line (June 2018), so now it's even easier to see when somebody doesn't know how to park. In the winter KU Facilities and Operations doesn’t always make it over in a timely manner after a big snow and then there are no visible parking spaces. This lot used to require a parking sticker place in the window of your car, but now the University of Kansas drives around in a stealthy black Ford Explorer and they scan license plates. This process is one hundred percent effective and no person or vehicle is ever incorrectly ticketed. In the fall and winter the lot is used as a paid parking area for home basketball games. Never mind that I paid multiple hundreds of dollars for my parking permit…the power of Jayhawk Basketball rules the day and my silly old permit is worthless after five o’clock. If you’re ever in the area you should definitely check out parking lot 134. I should know. Of all the parking lots in all the world, this is the parking lot I have parked in most.
