I think it used to be a very nice hotel, but some of the shine has worn off over the ages. The lobby, pool area and restaurant were all very nice, but the remodels in the rooms felt very incomplete and dated. With a little more updating on the rooms it would be a great hotel again.
The bed was so comfortable that I feel right to sleep. The complimentary warm cookie was a must... a must have more!! Loved my stay!!
The stay was amazing, they place is nice. But the management is abhorrent. I’ve seen the same poor server the entire time I stayed there. They are understaffed and over working their employees. The top management needs to be replaced. This poor girl was all alone and ran the entire restaurant herself. When I spoke to the main manager Samantha it was apparent she was a dunce with absolutely no true leadership capabilities. How this place is still surviving is beyond me. It’s a nice hotel, but it sure doesn’t treat its employees nice. I have already filed a report with the BBB and osha. You cannot overwork people like that, workers have rights. Especially during a pandemic. Only main concern with the facility was the pool is indoors, sometimes the pungent smell of chlorine was a bit too much. Please tip these people in the restaurant well. They are being abused.
I had high hopes. The pros: Staff is super nice and friendly. Located right off I-70. Plenty of parking. Every staff interaction we had ended with the offer of a cookie. Lobby, pool and fitness room are nice and well kept. I really wanted to give it a 5 star review. The cons: First red flag was when I noticed dust on the shower ledge and hard water stains on the shower door. The furniture looked like it was straight from the 70s. The entire building smelt like cigarette smoke. The bed felt like it was past it’s prime. I have not lost faith in the double tree brand. I think this location could use more renovation.
Absolutely the BEST experience I've ever had! Upon arriving I was greeted at the front desk and offered fresh and warm double tree cookies for the whole family. The receptionist was professional and just a complete sweetheart.nnWe booked 2 rooms. One king and one double room with queen beds. She worked things out to where they were side by side with conjoing doors which was awesome.nnEntering the room, I was very impressed. 2 water bottles were set out for us to wash down the yummy cookies. The king bed was freshly made with crisp sheets and pillows and everything smelled and felt clean.nnThe bathroom was EMACULATE! With a tiled walk in shower big enough for 2 people. Perfect water temperature and pressure. We were in heaven!nnMy favorite part though was the secondary door that led STRAIGHT into the INDOOR pool/spa area with sky lighting. It was amazing! The pool was massive and went to atleast 7 ft and there was a seperate hot tub. The asthetics were beautiful.nnWe didn't eat breakfast but the spread looked delicious as we were checking out. The associate noticed we were skipping breakfast and sent us with some fresh cookies for the road. I will 100% be staying again as well as recommending to everyone!nnBack on the road we go. Colorado here we come!
