It is set back a ways and i was initially concerned about the area after seeing this. We were travelling from Iowa and had never been to this area. The front desk person was nowhere to be found. I had a reservation and was content to wait. Having worked customer service before I understand these things. The man before me was less than patient but at least he returned to a more human form once the attendant arrived and it was apparent as to what kept her as she was dealing with unruly person.nnThe room had a king bed, a rare find for Motel 6. Everything worked as expected, bed bug free as I always check. I was 1st to crawl in bed after a shower and there was dirt and grit at the foot of the bed. That was gross. Made me feel like they hadn't changed the sheets before us. After sweeping out the sheets we slept well, another rare thing so by check out time, I forgot to say something about the dirty sheets. Overall it was good for the price.
We are closing on our new home Monday and they provided us a room until closing. The staff is awesome and clean and quiet. This is by far the best motel to stay at here in Lawrence.
The hotel it self seemed modern and clean enough. Staff were very friendly. Very convenient to the interstate. My only issue is that it seems there is a contingent of permanent residents on the second floor. And they party throughout the night just outside the back door. I came out to load my car and they had their bags on my car and one person was sitting on my car. In addition, there was a strong odor of weed

My husband and I didnt realize the train was right next to the place.. no sleep.. bugs cockroaches in the room.. tub had a hole in it and it leaked.. the ceiling above the door leaked from upstairs.. the bathroom ceiling was broken so the dirt came down on us.. you get what you pay for.. I took pictures of everything else also.. the staff were nice and polite.. but that's all.. one star .. never agian..
