A ton of local history that is not just about mining. Great celebration of immigration, culture, women's rights, local development, historical events, etc. Super friendly and helpful staff. A lot of just looking and reading displays, so not really great for little kids.

Wow, what a great place displaying the coal industry from the Pittsburg Ks. Area. Museum is the result of FEMA after a tornado a few years ago.
Good place for kids to roam.
Very informative and friendly staff, lots of really great information for adults and kids to enjoy. Great overall learning experience and doesn't cost anything but your time. Highly recommend for homeschoolers!
