Do not EVER place your airplane in these people's hands.nnJohn (owner?) is knowledgeable and cordial and means to do well but most of his staff just can't hack it. They're shockingly slow and never tell a customer when his plane is ready.nnIn my case:nnTook over two months to perform an annual inspection, supposedly a 12-manhour task on my aircraftnnReturned aircraft from 3 of 4 annuals with squawksnnReturned aircraft from 2 annuals not airworthynnFailed four times to repair intermittent flap retraction problem. It finally got fixed, after over eight months, when I showed John the a copy of plane's maintenance manual and what the problem had to be.nnTook over a month to remove contamination from fuel tank, returned airplane with some water and dirt still in tank.nnReturned aircraft from annual with landing light inop.nnReturned aircraft from annual with hourmeter inop.nnFailed for weeks and weeks to diagnose and correct bad mag check. Kept saying it was fine but it'd fail runup again. After many weeks and a big pile of money admitted they couldn't find problem after saying every mechanic they had had given it a shot. I finally called a friend A&P and we found the real issue in about five minutes. I spent weeks and weeks and close to the grand not getting the mag fixed on a flippin' five-minute problem.nnReturned aircraft from annual with flap tracks not lubed. Said they had, then lubed them and billed me for it.nnReturned aircraft from annual with nose gear scissor link not lubed. Said they had, then lubed it and billed me for it.nnReturned aircraft from annual with inspection cover on wing hanging loose by one screw, which was backed 'way out of its hole. If screw had been backed out any further it'd have struck the flap's leading edge, causing flight control damage.nnReturned aircraft from annual with dripping fuel drainnnReturned aircraft from annual with multiple bad dzus fasteners on cowl unrepairednnReturned a tach from overhaul with improper redline markings.nnWhen the tach they'd overhauled failed again after only three years (tachs generally last for many-many years) said they didn't want my business. Okay, suits me. I ordered a new tach and an A&P friend and I installed it. And it didn't take us seven or eight weeks, either.nn... And on, and on, and on.

Great place to learn to fly and rent. Aircraft are well maintained on-site by JD Aviation.

Hi all my name is Mait, Im from Switzerland. The reason why I am in Wichita, bcos Im there for my Latitude Avionics Typerating by Textron Aviation. I have a FAA PPL. So I looking for a flight schoo, in Wichita and I found one here. John (the owner) of JD aviation he is one of the smartest person I ever meet in Wichita and his family. And I did ,y checkout flight with Tony (CFI) on a C152. It was amazing to fly with Tony. This flight school provide C152, C172, Piper sport cruiser and Beech Sierra. To get a schedule fligh you just need to do a reservation in an apps. The aircraft are in a perfect conditions for theirs age.nI will come to this fly school again and again.nThanks all for the unforgetable sunset.
