Dr. Mortensen performed 2 of my 3 colonoscopies, and I'm going to schedule my 4th with him very soon. If I didn't think he was a competent physician/surgeon, I certainly wouldn't put my life in his hands 3 times. I highly recommend him.

Primary care doctor referred my friend there (same day...) for a minor outpatient procedure. Came in talking on his cell phone. Barely looked at the area of concern. Stated that primary care doctor was wrong and to basically do the same things he had been doing even though the pain was worsening. When we raised our concerns he basically told us to talk to his colleague, who did the procedure without question. Didnt seem like he wanted to be there and had zero interest in helping him.

Has preformed surgery on me. I like him, nice guy. And I trust him. Has a dry sense of humor. Please don't prejudge. Like I said he is a good doctor. And I think he is a good person. I would recommend.

I was initially happy. I started having pain again returned to doc, with new lump in belly button. Was told nothing wrong. Told hom pain is like before first repair, he basically blew me off. I will see a new surgeon who hoepfully cares and will listen. Avoid this doc. I really thought he cared.
