What a unique place! Kristie is so nice and we loved playing basketball in the gym. We will definitely be returning.

Fun, cozy little place! Especially liked that it had a gymnasium for basketball. Enjoyed our visit.

We have our family reunion here every year. It's a great place for us all to get together, and the history of our family and this little town make it even more of a reason to come here. The lodge is nice, we usually camp out back, but the rooms seem spacious and cozy.

It’s a different kind of place to stay in but clean and the people (volunteers) are very friendly and helpful. It’s an old school, probably built in the 60s or 70s, that closed in 2005. It caters primarily to hunting parties with the busy season starting in late September and going through December. The classrooms are laid out dorm style with small beds all around, a sofa and TV, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and a dining table. Some have small bathrooms (no shower). There’s a common kitchen where they taught Home Economics so there’s multiple cooking stations with a TV and sofas in one corner. You also have access to a common shower room/bathroom where towels are provided. Also, access to a gymnasium with a beautiful hardwood floor. There’s also a library, a courtyard with picnic benches, shady trees, and two large gas grills. And there’s access to washers and dryers for laundry included (no, you don’t need extra coins!). RV sites are basic— they provide 2 power hookups in back (50 amp) and 2 on the street side (35 amp). Water is provided by hoses. The 35 amp sockets are pretty far back from the street so be sure to have an extension cable. The regular household outlets on the outside of the building work too but seem to be on a 20-amp or less circuit (I blew them running stuff around 24 amps). The place is a little different but comfortable, quiet, clean and I highly recommend it. Perfect for families or hunting parties (bunch of guys all together) as the rooms provide good social opportunities but you can still break away and do your own thing elsewhere if you wanted.

Awesome place to stay for bird hunting. Our room had 6 beds, couches, TV with cable, personal bathroom, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and table. There is a main kitchen with ovens, stoves, and everything you could ever need. It is dog friendly, too! We paid $40/night per person. The owner is very sweet, and very accommodating. Definitely will be back again.
