Fantastic facilities and fantastic staff. The construction and amenities are more like a high-end condominium association than a typical apartment complex.

Pros: The amenities are nice and I do like my apartment a lot.nnCons: Windows are inefficient and the staff is friendly enough, but the management is super shady.

After touring other Downtown properties, it’s difficult to top Velocity! The apartments are gorgeous (perfect finishes and top appliances) and offer amazing views of the city. The amenities are also a huge bonus- Velocity has a rooftop patio, an outdoor pool, 2 club rooms, gym and yoga studio! Management is extremely helpful and helpful. Best apartment complex downtown, hands down.

I’ve lived at Velocity for going on 6 months now and it’s easily the most superb place i’ve ever resided at. We looked at a multitude of apartments and lofts downtown and nothing even came close to the feel of velocity. The interior to the apartments is top notch. The location and view is unbeatable in my own opinion, and the amenities are incredible. On top of having the best amenities and apartment layouts, the staffing here is amazing as well. Through college and post grad I lived in a lot of apartment complexes and it’s hard to come by good management let alone fantastic management. When apartment hunting, not only did velocity stand out with its endless amenities and beautiful floor plans, but so did it’s price. HIGHLY recommend to ANYONE looking to live in the Des Moines/downtown area. It doesn’t get any better than this!

We love living here, it's close to everything. Spacious apartments with modern loft vibes. Dog friendly. Our favorite thing though is how quiet our apartment is, not something you often find in spared living spaces. 10/10
