My first contact with the AG's office was about a year ago regarding robocalls. I spoke with a gentleman named AL. I was actually surprised as to how helpful he was as well as the actual level of interest and concern he had. I had a couple other recent questions regarding an issue and I must say I felt fortunate to speak with Al again. Now the ball is in my court to take action or not and I will do so with confidence that I have the support of Al and this office . Thank you.
FAILURE ALL THE WAY AROUND i knew they would fail cause they are snowflakes i was told to contact them they said nope go here really not surpriseed
Back in July of 2017 I filled complaint against Quintin Nuenkirk the owner of Lafayette Tire & More in Waterloo IA. He took nearly $4,000 from me and never provided the services or items I had paid for. The Waterloo Police Dept failed and refused to charge him. He has a 30 year history of such scams, never had a state permit to run a tire shop . I filed complaints with the Dept of Labor and you. You started a investigation but just let it go to the wayside. I called several times since was told your office would get back to me shortly NO CALL THANKS FOR JOB WELL DONE.
My efile EQCV012304nI just want someone to know what Clarke County is doing to a veteran who served this state proudly and sacrificed everything. Including my wife, who died for our country on duty overseas.nThe state is not responsible for my forgetfulness and not paying my bills. That rests on me and I can attribute my SERVICE connected PTSD.nI tried to get it straightened out. I signed up for efile and filed a motion that said the default on my case was invalid because there is a legal disability. I waited, nothing. By the time someone checked my mailbox, it was almost too late. I had to file more paperwork. The receptionist was nice and told me that if the judge is in court another judge will check in and sign off on files for him. She said she would put a note in to make sure they got to it. She even added usually by noon 2 pm latest.nThere was another woman in the office that was defensive and kind of nasty. I assure you I am polite and cordial at all times regardless. Her time and evasiveness indicated to me that something wasn't right. I went and talked to a court appointed attorney whose office faces the courthouse on the square. He was no help to the point I would say he was colluding and gave me the same sense that this small town and good ole boys network was going to take my house from me in the sheriff sale the following morning.nThe judge never looked at my motion like the kind receptionist had told me.nThe clerk of court office and prosecution office are the same room in this county. It was one of the other women in the office who had jumped in kind of nasty and evasive who told me that the judge wouldn't look at it till Thursday and the sale was on Wednesday. But she gladly took my $185.00 filing fee to stop the sale of my house.nMy house sold the next morning at the sheriff sale. I only owed $18000.00 on my mortgage and my house is worth $100,000.nSomeone picked it up for $40,000.00.nThe bank gets $20,000.00 by the time they pay their attorney.nBut now there is a hearing on March 23rd to determine what should happen to the rest of the money.nI filed another letter requesting I get that money. Because the county already sold my house for way under its value. I should at least get the rest so that I can try to move on.nI have unpaid bills I am trying to set up payments for. But I am getting this same sense by everyone in this county. That they are doing everything they can to take everything from me, including what is left over from the sale of my house.nPlease don't let them do this to me. Please dont kick this veteran in the bavk, after the county already knocked me down.nPlease help me save something. They already got my house and my dignity. please!?
Attorney General has nothing to do with protecting the consumer but the greedy and crooked corporations or business. Filed a complaint on regards to a lemon purchased from Carousel Motors not properly disclosed as such, found out afterwards that also had seven page Carfax history, along with Unibody damage, also was sold as a Prestige Line and turned out to be a Premium Plus or sub-model, biggest difference 3.6 6 Cylinder engine instead of the 4.2 8 Cylinder, reported to Audi Corporate along to DOT for the Unibody damage and FTC Comsumer Division at Federal Level, Holly Merz was assigned to the case besides the auto-reply and one time conversation, where she requested to prove the actual body repair and trade-in value, which I did never got a response back, purchase value was less than half of the current loan value if sold at that time, UICCU who financed the vehicle is fully aware also, knowing that the consumer has no choice but to paid the vehicle off or walk away from it at a loss.nn**Very interesting how the Attorney General’s office chooses what to respond or ignore, biggest mistake I made and I also lost faith on this so called Consumer Protection is very obvious that what works to their interest they will ignore..bottom line do not trust them for any legal mater use an attorney regardless of the cost avoid Carousel Motors and UICCU.
