We were looking for an old but nice quality car for our son (he would make the payments with his own income). We found a nice one at Tom’s through an online search so we came to check it out. Dewey was the salesperson who came out to help us and he was great. We liked the car too. Our only complaint is that I noticed that the AC did not work on the car and felt like a dealer should know about and fix something like that — or at least alert a buyer about it. It was a chilly day and I was lucky I decided to test the AC or we would not have found out about it until later. I’ve previously only bought cars from dealers that make sure everything is working so this was a surprise. I really hope there’s nothing else they forgot to mention or check! The good news is that when I asked about it, Dewey said they would fix it right away. The other thing I asked about they didn’t seem to know an answer to: I asked if the tinting in the front windows was within the Iowa legal limit (they seemed a bit dark). You’d think a car dealership that’s been in business a long time and sells thousands of cars a year would know the answer to that question. Other than those two things, the car seems great so far and they were able to get us a really good rate for the financing. I highly recommend Dewey. He is patient, helpful, and pleasant to work with.

Took my Granddaughter here so she could buy her first car on her own. Being a first time car buyer she didn’t have any credit. They helped her get into a program for first time car buyers. She got a nice little car. And a loan that she could afford. Great place to buy a car. They are very friendly, and helpful. Definitely would buy from Tom’s auto again.

Brian Appleby was an amazing sales guy, he showed us the car that we wanted, gave us honest information regarding the vehicle and got us approved for the vehicle we wanted with no hassle! The process was smooth and very professional! The finance guy was awesome as well! The atmosphere at Toms was very laid back, comfortable and welcoming! If I ever need another car I will definitely go back to Toms!

I had been searching for a new car for months! I found one at Tom's Auto Sales in Des Moines that I fell in love with. I didn't buy it right away but I kept coming back to look at it. Dewey was my consultant and he was amazing! If you go to Tom's Auto Sales, ask for him! Every time I came back he had a smile on his face! He was always happy to work with me and answer any questions I had! I am extremely satisfied with the service Dewey has provided me and made sure that I left as a happy customer!

Awesome place to work with. They give you plenty of time to be comfortable with the vehicle of your choice as well as giving access to all the vehicles information . I felt like they wanted my son to have the car he needed as well as wanted. Well done guys!
