Not fancy but spruced up bathrooms due to the pandemic, clean with courteous service. Attended our first film in the age of COVID... with socially distant seating. Actually kind of nice not having people hovering behind and large heads in front. So happy to be in a theater again!

Had the roof cave in from a heavy storm in the theater I was in. I thought it was part of the immersive experience (I was tired and the movie had a storm in it) It was that day we had the 2019 flood. They reimbursed all of our tickets which was cool.nnThis isn't close to among my top theaters to go to - I'm a very picky movie goer and am all about the immersion/experience. Will usually spend hundreds throughout the month (before covid happened). The only time I go to this theater is for the showtimes, or because I just wanted to see the movie just to see it and didn't care to experience it. You can probably guess my favorite theater to go to is. (hint: biggest screen in all the midwest + laser projection)nnRegardless of what I said, the staff are nice and the theater is old. I would love to see this place brought back to life. This was the first theater I've ever been to when I was a kid.

Seats are ok. Parking is great, prices seem reasonable, however when entering from lobby, they took all the signs down above the doors to each movie now showing. You have to search your ticket for theatre number and find location?

The bathroom was disgusting. Popcorn all over, toilet water on the floor, stuff on the seats and a horrible smell. Other than that it was nice. The popcorn was really good (as movie theater popcorn is) and the movie room was pretty clean.

Movie theater was in need of updates. Started off with the scanner not being able to read bar code for our stubs discount, ordered large popcorn and pop. One pop machine was turned off and the working one had several pops the was empty. So we picked diet root beer. And went to our movie. We watched 1917 in theater #3. There is no active tickers at this theater to tell what was playing in which theater so keep you stubs handy incase you weren't listening. We were welcomed by a funny smell in the #3 theater, wasn't sure what is was. We got settled in our seats noticing the chill in the air, I asked my wife if she was cold(even with a long sleeve shirt and sweater on) by the time the 30 minutes of previews was over she was also sporting my sweater to.....long story short with all the theaters to choose from in Des Moines it's a hard sale to get me to go back.....
