Very cool overlook. Great view of downtown and the skyline.
A gorgeous stop on the south side of Des Moines. A place to relax in the pavilion and enjoy the realistic splendor of downtown.nnThere is a modern indoor pavilion that you can reserve and 2 outdoor. The lake has been cleaned up and is stocked by the DNR for some fishing. A great place to just relax.
I'm glad they're doing renovations, however bringing a large vehicle through the high curbs will prove difficult. I damaged my automatic step to my RV just driving through the park.
Peaceful. Clean. And very family friendly!
