Clean quiet park. Fabulous view of down town Des Moines.
Just discovered this place very recently! I love taking my motorcycle up to the lookout point after sun down to see our city’s beautiful skyline! It’s a unique spot to show your friends and family.
I found quite a few places to park while driving around the park last week. Each is it's open entrance to enjoy the natural features of that area. There were a few nice shelters and one in particular near the overlook appeared very new. It would give whoever is using it a unique view of the Des Moines skyline. I'm from Missouri but grew up in Iowa. This was my first drive through the park since it was recommended for a great photo of a sunrise. There rain took away that chance but I'm glad I found the park.
Great view of downtown! Picnic tables for sitting outside for a meal. Several off road parking spots for stopping. Beautiful park to visit!
