This is the place to buy and sell vintage audio. They are also a dealer for UTurn turntables and have a small selection of records. Excellent customer service and fair prices, look no further.
We came in to some late 70s Pioneer equipment from my parents. We also had a midcentury record console we picked up a couple years ago. Kevin was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful as we sorted out what to do with our equipment. He advised us to restore some of the equipment, accepted a fair trade on the items we didn't have use for, and we purchased some new speakers after Kevin walked us through the nuance of a dozen different sets. Could not have been more satisfied with the experience. Would recommend Skylabs to anyone remotely interested.
It’s great to have access to a place such as Skylabs in the Des Moines area. They gave me a generous price for my 1975 turntable that I was no longer using and counseled me on what updates I should make to my vintage speakers from the same era. The repairs were performed quickly and at a modest price. Now my beloved Altec speakers sound like new again. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
