They also Have dismissed any apt to pretrial service due to Covid up intil this point. Not that anyone should care about little old me but it deffinately a injustice here. My lawyer has yet to contact me back. Made several calls and left emails. Court apt isnt even a criminal lawyer she a famuly lawyer. Im beyond pist off that there messing with my life like this. Who do i contact
All I care about is that people do their job and no BS but they were very helpful. I called ahead of time to make sure that I was heading to the right place for the paperwork I needed and a woman who worked there by the time I got to their office had it ready for me. Don't know her name but she had pink hair and she made it an easy painless process and for that I'm thankful. She made the difference between a good day and a bad one.
Should probably retrain an accounting worker you have there who is incredibly rude on the phone for absolutely no reason. I thought yesterday she was maybe just rude because it was Monday, but nope. Today she was even ruder.
With renovations almost complete, District Court of Polk County is now a Campus, you might say. The old J.C.Penny building is now Juvenile Justice Center, which houses Court Records -Small Claims -P.C. Attorneys Office -Sheriff's Office and Juvenile Court. Beautifully remodeled and quite efficient. The Jail remodel ought to be complete in 2019. Money's well spent -in my individual opinion ud83eudd17ud83eudd17ud83eudd17ud83dude0aud83dude0e
I was treated rudely by the security person at the entrance. I walked in and had nobody behind me, yet this guy immediately felt it necessary to start ordering me around and rushing me. He told me to put my phone and car keys from my pockets into my purse so it could all go on the conveyor belt in a bossy, rude tone of voice. For one thing, I was not moving slowly at all. I had just walked in the door when he started acting like there was some big hurry. Second, there was a guy in front of me putting his stuff on the conveyor belt already, so there wasn’t any reason to rush. I still had to wait my turn. Therefore, there was no reason why I couldn’t have put my keys and phone from my pockets into the little baskets, like I always do and would have preferred. It was more difficult and time consuming to put them in my purse than it would have been to use the baskets. I had to struggle to get the zipper on my big purse to work while holding my bottle of water, because my zipper doesn’t open smoothly anyway and less so in winter cold, and I have arthritis in my fingers. It would have been much faster to put them in a basket. Third, there was absolutely nobody behind me! I was the only one! While struggling with my purse ziper and putting my phone and keys in my purse, I finally asked, “What’s the big hurry?” His response was, “I don’t know. I just like to keep thngs moving.” This was unacceptable treatment of a Polk County citizen coming into our courthouse. This is not the way the front desk staff should be treating visitors. I was dressed appropriately, spoke politely and did not argue with him. I immediately did what he asked. In other words, I was respectful walking in and was not treated respectfully in return. There was no reason to treat me that way. By comparison, the Adel courthouse officer at the front desk could not have been more helpful and pleasant when I went there a few weeks ago. He had the exact same job to do, yet managed to behave with courtesy and professionalism. Our Polk County courthouse security staff should not be treating visitors in this way.
