They did an amazing job!! I love my nails and they are really sweet.
I would not recommend going here. I made an appointment for a full set of acrylics and upon arriving I showed pictures and explained what I had wanted done. The nail tech was constantly FaceTiming, talking on the phone or texting throughout the entire time I was there. She would stop every couple minutes to text which I thought was very unsanitary during Covid and also very unprofessional and rude. She also only kept her face mask on for 5 minutes which I found odd considering they require everyone to wear them there.. Despite showing and explaining what I wanted done, she forgot to add the glitter top coat that I had requested and she stated she would have to grind down all of my nails and redo them in order to add any glitter. I declined as I was not impressed and did not want to spend anymore time here. When I went to pay she asked if I had a card or cash, and when I explained I had a card she requested I pay her over Venmo instead so she would get the entire $55 + tip. When my Venmo was having issues, she took my phone and messed around with the app and eventually got it to work, but I felt this was very unprofessional. After 3 days one of my nails broke in half, so I called and made an appointment to have it fixed. When having it fixed I was shuffled between 3 people before having the lady who originally worked on my nail fix it. However instead of soaking off the acrylic that was still attached to my nail bed, she shoved a nail under it to pry it off, which needless to say was very painful and damaged my natural nail. The following day I lost another nail. 0/10. Do not go here. Ridiculously overpriced for the terrible service and poor quality.
Place was filthy. Staff was rude & unprofessional. The selection of polish & colors was dismal at best. What little they had looked like the old dried up bottles you've had in your medicine cabinet for years. Sloppy pedicure, especially considering the price. Take your money elsewhere.
Before Christmas I went to Andy’s Nails on the South Side of DesMoines, based on the great reviews the had. I took my sister in law who was visiting from Seattle, and my four year old daughter. When we arrived, we asked if they had time to do a full set. The guy in charge said they did not have time for acrylic, Only if we wanted to do dip. He seemed a bit rude but we figured at least they had time to squeeze us in, even if it would be more expensive than acrylic. My nails were done much sooner than my sister in laws, so I asked the lady if she would do my daughters, she did not respond then pointed me to pay at the front. When I asked again, the main guy there seemed very rude and upset and kept going back and forth conversation in another language. Finally another lady sat my daughter down and painted her nails. She told me they would not take a card since it was only $5. I told her I would pay $15 if they took my card. They agreed. While I was waiting for my sister in law We noticed they kept hurrying the guy who was working on her nails because he was taking his time and was very detailed. As a matter fact all the techs seemed to be in a hurry. The worst part was that my nails chipped the next day of how thin they were done. I thought of going back to fix them, but just the thought of how rude most of the service was, I will never step a foot in there. My sister in laws nails came out wonderful, but then again I’m sure the guys got in trouble by taking his time. I’m not the person to leave reviews, but I will with extremely good or bad service.
I was told to go to the room where they did eyebrow . Honestly it was so filthy I almost ran. The plastic cover on the bed was torn and disgusting. I will never go there again.
