Whenever people ask me about shopping in the East Village, I always suggest Domestica. Chrissy (the owner) is wonderful and always has suggestions for cool stuff happening around the city. I especially enjoy their selection of birthday cards and local art prints.

I love this store. So many cute cards and pins and art. My only problem is how expensive it is. I know it's all local, but everything is like 15% more than I'd like. I'd buy the whole damn store if it was just a little cheaper, or if they had deals on things, like a buy-two-get-one or something like that. Beautiful store, I'm just poor.
