Valley Oral & Facial Surgery

I had surgery performed by Dr. Petersen and his staff. They were nothing short of amazing. Their friendliness and knowledge made me feel at ease the entire time. Recovery was a breeze. I will be recommending this office to anyone who needs an oral surgeon.

I appreciated the efficient way in which this office runs. Everyone knows their job and does it very well. I did find it odd that not one person introduced themselves and who they were. For instance, usually when a nurse comes in at any other office, they introduce themselves as Hi I’m Nurse so and so and I’ll be taking care of you today. I actually asked the gal if she was a nurse or something else right before she put the IV in because I was waiting to understand her role. And she did politely share she was an RN after that. Her care was great and she explained the after care very well. I also met the Dr in the consultation room and he was very pleasant and explained everything so well. He made me feel like he had the time to answer any questions. The next thing I knew I was in what they called the recovery area. Again, the person that mostly came to my bedside never introduced herself and her demeanor was not pleasant. I thought it may have just been me being doped up, but she brought me to my car and my husband stated she “barked orders” at him and he commented that she appears to not like her job. I work in healthcare also. There are stressful things about working in a day surgery environment, which I understand. However, the final impression or a bad impression of a business is usually the only two your going to remember and talk about, and sorry to say I won’t be able to talk about Valley Oral without bringing up the obviously unhappy employee the deposited me at my vehicle, albeit otherwise wonderful care. Should I need this type of service in the future, I would go here again as the overall care from the clerical and clinical staff and throughout the experience was efficient and I felt cared for by experienced hands.

I would highly recommend Dr. Petersen and his staff. I was very nervous about getting my four wisdom teeth extracted. Dr. Petersen and his staff made me feel very comfortable and put me at ease. The procedure went very smoothly and was a lot quicker and easier than I anticipated. I could really tell that they have had a lot of experience and am very happy that I got such a great referral!

My son just had all 4 Wisdom teeth pulled and an extra tooth and they were all so amazing. Thank you for taking care of my son during his first ever surgery.
