Besides the loooong layovers, and a few late arrivals, I enjoy taking Jefferson lines. The bus drivers are usually friendly and efficient. The bathrooms are always really icky, but I mean, you get a lot of vagabonds and criminals using this as transportation, so you can't expect a 5 star hotel bathroom experience. They make enough stops to acquire sustenance and drinks. The buses are relatively clean and in good condition.
