Nice campground. Just looking for a place for the night while heading north to the Neil Smith Wildlife Refuge and then eastward to the Mighty Mississippi River. It was perfect. Well maintained. Safe. Families. There are two sides. Hard to determine coming in at night. Having a wooden, engraved sign at the entrance, showing the layout, would have been helpful. Access the second portion by going underneath the road/bridge at the Des Moines River. I would stay here again.
Nice clean place has a new shower house lots are very nice size
Campground is in great shape. Good drainage, camper and garbage dump, plenty of shade if needed. Highly recommend
Stayed a week in the new part. So quiet and did some well needed relaxing.
Love this place use to camp here all the time with my grandma and grandpa
