Russell Wildlife Area has some of Mahaska County's most scenic wilderness. It has prairie, forest, ponds, and streams. It even has a suspension bridge.nnThis county park offers a wide range of activities including: fishing, hunting, shooting, hiking, bird watching, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, fossil hunting, boating, and picnicking.

I used to work there in 2008. Great people, great place, ponds, wildlife, beautiful area. Go visit, it's awesome!

Great people that works their. Very knowledge in the outdoors. Also the ponds are great as well!

There isn't much their but it's a great walk out side great trails and 4 lakes for the kids to fish some bluegill
