The city of Winterset is a cute little town. It may be old, but is well maintained. Even the homes are well-kept. We were just there yesterday (July) and they had an antique carshow going on in the town square. The courthouse is absolutely gorgeous! If you visit Winterset, you MUST try the Winterset Cranberry Wine, only available from the Winterset Winery. I'm not a big fan of most wines, but my whole family loves it. Whenever she travels out that way, my mom will stop in Winterset and buy a case to take back home so we have it for the holidays and family dinners. Great little shops all around the City Hall!
