In my lifetime I have known some very good jewelers, including a high school classmate who, as a wedding gift, engraved each piece of my silver flatware with my initial. However Harold ( and Astrid) are THE BEST and my fav! He custom designed and made my new wedding ring. In that process he took my ideas, thoughts & preferences and incorporated them into his unique design: an East-West pear. He searched his diamond suppliers to find me a really quality stone. It was different than what I thought I’d choose, but I loved it immediately & still do. I receive many compliments. Since then I’ve had a gemstone ring re-sized and purchased other pieces, both inexpensive and vintage; I’ve always been very pleased with the jewelry and their service and workmanship. As a plus, Harold and Astrid are ethical, smart and personable, informed and always fun to visit with. I would highly recommend Jewelry by Harold if you want a good jewelry buying experience.

Amazing store! They do everything at home and are always friendly. They where the only one who where able to make my sister engagement ring of her dreams. And all that for a very reasonable price! Definitely would recommend this store!!!!

From the moment you walk through the door, you feel like family. Each piece seems to mean as much to them as it does to you. My father passed away and I was given the opportunity to take stones out of my mother’s wedding ring and use it for my own. When the time came, Harold and Astrid helped my husband and I design the most incredible engagement ring from it. I will forever cherish that ring and every purchase/experience since has been just as wonderful. You won’t regret stopping by there!

Harold and Astrid are wonderful people. They recreated a bracelet for me from extra stones from a necklace I have. Just perfect! The design work they do is as unique as they are. I highly recommend this shop!

This is one of my favorite places in North Liberty. These folks know their business well and they have a wide variety of styles in a gallery-like environment. If you are in town, don’t miss this. They also do great repair work!
