I haven't been there in a while but I was not impressed when I went. The staff was very small town and cold to both my mom and myself. They do have a decent book and magazine selection but pretty outdated. The books I mean. Very unhelpful staff too. I was very upset too because I brought some dvds up to the counter she tells me seven dollars. I go excuse me? They charge for dvds! A Library item! Charge! I tried not to laugh in her face and said put them back, to which she acted like inconvenienced HER! Might I add their is nothing noted that I saw about a charge.They are also fine happy if your one day overdue just like the new Ellsworth librarian. Thank God for the Ames library let me tell you they are a God send. Would not recommend these ghost towns.Try Ames. They are currently closed for rising covid numbers but their catalog is easy to look up and they will put things on hold you just call or text them your there. Much more friendly and accommodating.
