I am so sorry I stop at this John's taco. My money spent should have gone to a food bank. I was so disappointed. Buy taco shells at grocery store and make your own. Save money. 100% better. My tacos were cold wherever the potatoes things were greasy. Hey the Dr pepper was great.

The food was semi warm. I did complain to Taco John's online and never heard back from them. Don't waste your time going here.

I have never been to a comedy club, and I never thought my first comedy show would be the Taco John's in Charles City, Iowa. The order was taken correctly and quickly in the drive-thru, however the food preparation plumbed the very depths of ineptitude. We received our incorrect order and ran through the drive again to correct it, but alas there was no greeting at the speaker box. So we proceeded to the window and showed our receipt which was in turn shown to the Executive Chef who stared at it mouth agape and struggled to remember that it was the only order in the last five minutes. Upon his epiphany, he began diligently remaking the order, but forced us to wait for them to prepare fresh rice? So what rice did they use before? And taking our inconvenience into consideration they relieved us of the wrong item, whereas in most other cases we would have been able to keep it. The goal for us was not free food, but it struck me as odd because in all my days I've never had to return a wrong item. Especially in recent days; think of the Covid. After the rest of our food got cold we finally got what we ordered and as we drove off thinking the stars have aligned, it was still wrong. I have been in and out of a sitdown dinner at Applebees in a more timely manner than this. I don't want anything for our trouble, I just want the world to know.
