Best taco pizza ever!
The dough the crust over piled toppings nothing really cooks but the top half bland idk I'm giving my opinion on pizza ..being from Chicago land suburbs it's been hard to find real good pizza in Iowa
Today I went to my favorite pizza restaurant in Dubuque. I ordered the lunch special. A personal sized pizza and unlimited drink refills for $6.50. I had the taco joe. It is by far the best taco pizza in town. The employees are really nice. It only takes about 15 minutes to get your food. The restaurant is clean, and tables are spaced for safety. Great food, and a fun atmosphere.
2 stars for being very COVID safe and that’s about it. The pizza wasn’t cooked long enough and the boneless wings could have been mistaken for McDonald’s nuggets. The menu doesn’t even show the prices for basic pizzas or drinks. If I’m paying $20 for a medium pizza I would hope there wasn’t burnt cheese aligning the whole crust. I understand they’re busy but waiting 45 minutes for a sausage pizza is questionable.
We usually love this Happy Joe's location. We live about 3 hours from there and always go for pizza when we are in the area. Went a few nights ago, picked up at the drive up window and proceeded back to our hotel. When we opened the box, the pizza was burnt--charred around the whole pizza. The rest of the pizza still tasted great, but had to throw 1/4 away. Not great when one single topping large pizza costs $24!! Very disappointed this time. Hopefully just a bad night.
