Stopped for lunch on our way back to Wisconsin as it had great reviews. I am going to add another one here as we were pleasantly surprised. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent food! The workers never stopped once as they were working and cleaning the whole time. Excellence service from our sweet waitress Bethany as well. 5 star!

Just visitors passing through today from Saint Paul to Cedar Rapids. Quick access off of 63, great food and service. Tenderloin was perfect. Kind of jealous of others in our group that ordered the Meatloaf Dinner, it looked and smellled amazing. Katie provided great service, everyone was friendly. Hope to stop back again to try that meatloaf some day.
Klunder's Kafe is a nicely kept secret of New Hampton, Iowa along Highway 63. Each time I return to Kansas from Rochester, MN I make it a point to stop in New Hampton, fuel up, pick up a copy of the New Hampton Tribune at the Kwik Star convenience store and go across the way to enjoy the closest thing to wholesome standard farm cooking at Klunder's. The menu includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast omelettes are out of this world as is the chicken fried steak dinner. The serving sizes are incredibly generous at this diner. I typically sit at one of the counter seats. But there are plenty of tables and booths available. I'm a real stickler for friendly, courteous and attentive service, and I give the waitresses all 5 stars for taking good care of me and making sure my coffee cup is always full of fresh coffee. I also give the cooks 5 stars for the great tasting meals served in such generous amounts. The only thing I'd ask for is that they have apple and pumpkin pies more readily available. I strongly recommend Klunder's Kafe in very friendly New Hampton, Iowa.
