Normally a good experience, today however it was not. I recently had back surgery, I came in for a few items, as I'm on a walker. I chose to not use the electric scooter because only 1 was available, surely someone other than I could use it. My checker didn't help me bring my basket to the counter (I was already in line to be served) she asked the gentlemen ahead of me if he wanted help with 2 bags, he declined. She did not ask if I needed help, in fact none of the workers asked if I needed help to my car. My problem was balance on a walker. Trying to balance bags on both sides of the walker, without falling over. Today was not a good experience at faraway. Same happened at hy vee a couple days ago difference being several workers asked if I needed help and they walked me to my car.
Fareway in Mason City is a friendly, efficient, well-maintained store. Now, at the end of October 2020, they're adding kiosks so customers can scan their own groceries.
We know Fareway has a great meat Department and the baggers are awesome, but today cashier Sharon won best customer service in the mid-west award in my book. She had me laughing so hard! She can light up a room KEEP ON SHINNING SHARON!
Never an unfriendly face! Easy and economical. The older I get, the more I appreciate the full service, and having carry out is wonderful
I can find things very easy and if not, someone is always there to help!! Their prices are fair and the meat counter is the best!!
