Drove all the way from Des Moines to hopefully get a glimpse on the Northern Lights. The skies disappointed, Taco Tuesday at Cafe Mir did not!! Hip, cozy spot in the middle of nowhere!

Totally not what you would expect from small town Iowa. Fresh local ingredients, fun decor, and staff was very helpful and friendly. It's worth the drive to check this place out.

Oh my god I love this place so MUCH. The atmosphere, the music, the staff, the FOOD! Cafe Mir is a seriously needed addition to north Iowa in general, and their creative approach to pizza, apps and wine is constantly refreshing. They even started doing taco Tuesday, which resulted in easily the BEST tacos I’ve ever had for only $2.50 a taco.nPrices are super reasonable for the quality of ingredients, and their wine selection is divine. I hope Cafe Mir stays around for years to come, we need more restaurants like them.
